Another Wild Card Series Ends Without a "3-2" Final Score

The Most Common Baseball Score Still Absent From Wild Card History.

Since the Wild Card Game (and subsequently the Wild Card Series) was introduced, Major League Baseball has played a total of 82 Wild Card Games, with several very often seen scores still missing including "6-5", "7-0", "7-5", "7-6". However the most glaring is the fact that we haven't seen a "3-2" final score yet, which is the most common score in baseball history in both the regular season and the postseason. Interestingly enough the most common Wild Card Game final score is "3-1", with 8 total games ending with the aforementioned score. Now is this a trend or just a small sample size noise? Maybe a bit of both. 82 games isn't necessarily a massive sample size, but if you roll the dice enough, it starts to look like a trend. I guess we will see how much longer this stretch lasts, and how many more years before we see a final of "3-2" in a Wild Card Game.
