The 2021 season produced 2,466 games between 30 clubs, running from April 1, 2021 to November 2, 2021. Those games ended in 130 different final scores, 28 of which occurred exactly once all season. The most common result was 3–2, posted 135 times — 5.5% of the season's games.
Teams combined for 9.05 runs per game in 2021, 0.26 runs above the 1901-onward average of 8.79. Shutouts accounted for 307 games (12.4% of the total), and 691 of the 2,466 decided games were settled by a single run (28.0%).
